New Corinthians Stadium Sao Paulo Stadium |

The New Corinthians Stadium is a proposed football stadium which would be built in Itaquera area of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and will replace the Pacaembu Stadium as the home stadium of Corinthians. The project was first announced on August 27, 2010, by president of CBF Ricardo Teixeira, the governor of Sao Paulo, Alberto Goldman and the mayor of Sao Paulo Gilberto Kassab, with a planned opening date of 2013. The stadium is intended to have a capacity of 65,000 spectators, and should hold the opening ceremony for 2014 FIFA World Cup.
